Help Us Celebrate National Sight Week

National Sight Week (NSW) is next week! NSW is a celebration of volunteerism, during which members of the Operation Sight network are encouraged to contribute one or more charitable cataract surgeries in their own communities. The ASCRS Foundation works to match needy, eligible patients with volunteer surgeons, and provides a financial stipend for each surgery completed.

We need your help to get the word out about NSW. You can help us raise the visibility of preventable cataract blindness in the United States and bring recognition to the amazing work of our volunteers.

Are you a participating volunteer during NSW or an Operation Sight volunteer? For this year’s National Sight Week, we are asking volunteer surgeons and staff members to submit short videos on why they #givesight. Photos and videos will be shared year-round to highlight the great work being done by volunteers. Please submit all photos and videos via email to emorales@ascrs.org

Are you unable to volunteer during NSW? Here is how you can participate in NSW without stepping foot in a surgery center next week:

Our goal is to not only increase the number of charitable cataract surgeries during National Sight week but to raise awareness of the overall Operation Sight program. You can help us reach this goal!
