Run for Sight

6th Annual Run for Sight

For the last four years, Matthew Wesson, MD, [Tupelo, MS] has awoken very early on the Sunday morning of ASCRS’ Annual Meeting. Before the sun is up, rain or shine, he laces up his running shoes and heads out to do something good for his health, and for those in need.

Thank You for Leading the Way

Steps for Sight is a new challenge at the 2018 ASCRS-ASOA Annual Meeting. The goal is to encourage attendees to improve their health, have a bit of competitive fun, and raise money for a good cause – ending preventable cataract blindness.

Participants have already begun signing-up and creating their challenge pages.

Steps for Sight Challenge

For the 166 individuals on our Operation Sight waiting list, taking even a single step with cataract impaired vision can be frustrating. You can extend your sight giving abilities and help these 166 patients see again, without ever entering the operation room. All you’ll have to do is take a few steps.
