Call for Volunteer: Strabismus Surgeon Needed in Nigeria

Our partner, Vision Care, is in need of a volunteer surgeon. Vision Care is a blindness relief organization working in 38 countries throughout Asia, Africa and Central and South America. With offices in Korea and the US, they conduct 25+ week-long Eye Camps per year.

They are currently looking for an experienced Strabismus surgeon for their Eye Camp in Nigeria, which is scheduled to be held October 22-28, 2017, in the capital city of Lagos. The Eye Camp will be held at their local partner hospital, the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, and housing will be provided nearby. The medical team would include Dr. Dong-Hae Kim, Founder and President of Vision Care, highly experienced surgical nurses from Korea, and a group of non-medical volunteers from the US. This is Vision Care's 3rd year in Nigeria partnering with the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.

As a volunteer, you would be responsible for your round-trip airfare as well as the additional costs for accommodations (approx. $700). If you are interested, please contact Vision Care USA's Executive Director, Amy Ahn, at
