Our 2nd Annual National Sight Week saw the volume of surgeries grow by 50% and 300 patients are seeing better just in time for the holidays! This is all thanks to our volunteer surgeons and donors who make this program possible.
Next month, the ASCRS Foundation will host its 2nd annual National Sight Week initiative, October 15-21. The goal of National Sight Week is to raise awareness about needless cataract blindness in the United States by performing as many chariatble cataract surgeries as possible during the one-week period. National Sight Week is a part of our domestic charitable eye care program, Operation Sight.
Our partner, Vision Care, is in need of a volunteer surgeon. Vision Care is a blindness relief organization working in 38 countries throughout Asia, Africa and Central and South America. With offices in Korea and the US, they conduct 25+ week-long Eye Camps per year.
